Family Promise relies on the support of volunteers from the community assist staff to provide a safe caring, supportive shelter program for homeless families with children. There are a variety of ways individuals and organizations can help. Trained volunteers help staff the shelter, provide a supportive environment of care, help with donations, perform administrative tasks, help with laundry, interact with parents and engage children in activities each day. Volunteer opportunities at the Shelter House include week day and week end shifts.
We are not currently hosting volunteer orientations at this time.
Attend a Volunteer Orientation to learn more about the Family Promise shelter program and how volunteers support homeless families in a safe caring environment as they strive to become self-sufficient.
After attending an orientation we ask that you shadow seasoned volunteers before signing up.
For more information about signing up for an orientation - please email: email@example.com.
